Stacking It with Trinny London

Don’t you just love discovering new beauty products? I do, especially when they offer something a little different to what’s already out there. Which, if you think about it, is pretty damn hard, considering just how many products are out there.

A few weeks ago, I was invited for an evening of tapas, wine and beauty chats with Trinny London… Trinny being Trinny Wodall, one part to the ‘What Not To Wear’ duo. Do you remember that show? I used to bloody loveeeee it! Anyhoo, Trinny has just launched an amazing new brand, focused around a new way to use and transport your makeup. The Stack.

The Stacking Concept

Say goodbye to bulky makeup bags ladies, Trinny London’s new stackable makeup has literally rendered them redundant. Her range of products all come in a small pot that simply clicks into the next, giving you a stack that you can custom build depending on the look you’re creating or where you’re going. The concept is pretty genius in my opinion!

The sleek, stackable products are all cream based and available to use on the face, cheek, lip, eye and don’t even require brushes – although I’m not sure I’m ready to go back to a finger application anytime soon.

Match 2 Me

I’m a little torn here as to which is cooler, the stack or Match 2 Me. Match 2 Me is essentially an online tool that matches your skin, hair and eyes to your perfect stack of products. You start with your eye colour and then click your way through the questions until you ‘meet your match’.

From here you can either browse the selection of products recommended for you and custom build your stack, or if you’re feeling lazy, you can choose from a ready made look. Either way, Match 2 Me will not only have suggested your ideal products, but your perfect shades too.

The Verdict

I’ve been using the products daily since picking them up and I have to say I’m a little obsessed. They’re so effortless to use and having the stack makes them easy to find amongst the disaster zone that is my dressing table. One of my current faves has to the BFF Cream in Light. This radiance boosting cream, is essentially a miracle moisturiser that you apply before your foundation – although with this, you could quite happily skip the foundation all together if you fancied it. It goes on clear, then adapts to your skin tone, creating a more flawless base and a beautiful glowy finish. This is the only product in the range that doesn’t come in a pot, but you can buy an empty pot (or T-pot as they call it) to decant a little product into and add to your stack.
