You’ll have to excuse the content in this post, I still feel a little jet lagged. If you follow me over on the gram, you’ll have seen (from my continuous bombardment of photos) that I was over in the States for a few weeks. We arrived home Friday, rather sleepy and with a heap load of washing. The joys of being an adult ay!
The first few days back from a holiday are always exciting. Maybe that’s just me, but everything I normally take for granted, seems such a privilege after being away for so long. My house, my cat, my car and even our English air seems amazing.
So aside from a hell of a lotta’ washing, what have I been up to this weekend? Well first things first, I had to catch up on Pretty Little Liars. Well I don’t know about you, but I was left thinking WTF? I know PLL are known for their plots twists, but seriously? I wont include any spoilers for those of you who haven’t watched it… but I was pretty disappointed with that one. I’d love to know what you thought.
I have also been eating every vegetable I can get my hands on. If you’re a veggie and you’ve been to Florida recently, please tell me how and where you got good food, cause we searched and searched and found nothing. Sometimes I felt like I was in an episode of Man VS Food! Everything is either covered in cheese, or fried, or just plain HUGE. So now I’m back on UK soil, I plan on getting on a serious junk food detox, hitting the gym and refocusing on my fitness goals. Considering the amount of pizza I’ve eaten in the last three weeks, I’d say my body deserves a little TLC.
Before everything starts getting hectic again with working and blogging, I wanted to finish off a few holiday books. Having time to chill and read is one of my favourite things about taking time out. As much as I love reading, it always seems to come bottom of my priority list. The two books I’ve read which I highly recommend are, The Girl Before and Into The Water….
…Both books have the same mysterious vibe and keep you guessing right until the end. The Girl Before has a bit of an Edward Cullen style character (without the whole blood sucker thing), meaning I instantly fell in love with him – standard. Into the Water has a little less romance and is written by the same author as The Girl On The Train, so you know that’s gunna’ be good right!
I plan on spending the rest of the day catching up with one of my favourite people, drinking ice coffee in the sunshine and putting the world to rights. I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend.
